Geo-locating a Device in Mobile Access
Posted by Leanne Lloyd-Fairey on 30 September 2015 03:28 PM

Baseline's Mobile Access Advanced enables users to geo-locate all irrigation devices from any web-enabled mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet. Using this feature, you can easily add markers for your irrigation devices to the BaseManager map.

You can also create custom markers that represent non-Baseline items. Refer to Creating a Custom Marker in Mobile Access.

Note: Your device markers display on the maps in BaseManager.

  1. Log into Mobile Access.
  2. Depending on your device and the version of the operating system, make sure all options such as Location, Location services, and Location reporting are enabled.
  3. Tap the controller that you want to geo-locate a device for.
  4. On the Controller Operations menu, tap Geo-Locate Device.
  5. On the Mark Device menu, tap the type of the device that you want to geo-locate. The list of devices displays.
  6. Tap the name of the specific device that you want to geo-locate.
  7. Walk to the place where the device that you want to mark is physically located.
  8. Tap Mark. A message indicates that the coordinates for the marker were sent to BaseManager.

Note: You can tap the arrow buttons to move to the next or previous item in the list.
